Job Description

PCS is seeking a passionate, full time, re-entry focused outpatient therapist to join our team!

  • This position would focus on a specialized caseload of clients where you would manage both the adult and juvenile sex offender treatment caseload and the domestic violence intervention program. This could include a currently incarcerated population.
  • Caseload management includes collaboration with probation/parole, initial evaluations, monthly supervision for the SOAB, and weekly group or/and individual meetings with clients.
  • We currently utilize the Road to Freedom by Morin and Levenson as our primary curriculum for individuals who sexually offend.
  • The Duluth model of psychoeducation is utilized for individuals with a history of domestic violence.
  • This role may also include a small drug and alcohol, mental health, or co-occurring caseload to round out the days.
  • Clients involved in the program are primarily from the state and local criminal justice system.
  • Interaction and communication with probation/parole officers is an integral part of the program.
  • Regular updates and communication to the SOAB board for SVP clients is also required.
  • While the position is challenging from the clinical perspective, it also requires strong organization and communication skills in order to provide timely reports and information.
  • Because PCS is an approved SOAB treatment provider, we adhere to their treatment standards for SO services.

Clinical supervision towards licensure is available for those seeking  professional licenses in the mental health field.  Onsite clinical supervision includes individual sessions, group supervision with the local outpatient office, and monthly SO specific supervisions. We encourage regular attendance at quarterly SOAB trainings as well as the onboarding training provided to all PCS therapists.

We are seeking passionate and caring unlicensed outpatient therapists to join our team and help children, adults, and families discover their greatness, overcome obstacles on their path to recovery, and facilitate healthy habits and relationships. Pennsylvania Counseling Services provides individual, family, and group outpatient therapy for mental health and addiction issues.  Our therapists draw on their educational background, skills and expertise as well as that of the treatment team to provide effective treatment that recognizes the needs of the client and helps them move forward in their life.  We believe in growth, optimism, hope, healing, and serving the underserved.

Full time clinicians work Monday through Friday including 2 evening shifts which would involve facilitating intake, individual, and group therapy sessions. The schedule is flexible allowing clinicians to set their daily schedule within some parameters.  EOE.
